Islam is pure and clean. Muslims must always must be in the state of cleanliness. Muslims must wear clean clothing and must beautify themselves for the sake of Allah in the halal way.
Followings are some of the sunnah and adab ways of our beloved Nabi (saw) on how to wear our clothes
• Recite :- Bismillahi Rrohmani Rrohim
Meaning : in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate and the Most Loving.
• Supplicate the dua of wearing clothes
• Do not undress in front of people, only undress and dress in private
• Never display or show our private parts in front of people or our Aurah to others.
• Begin wearing our clothes from the right side
• Taking off our clothes from the left side.
Men
• should wear pants/clothing above the ankles
• Wear turban or toppee or cap
• Must cover their aurat which are between the knee and the navel
Women
• Must not wear transparent or tight clothes
• Must cover our aurat all the time especially in the public /when in the company of non muhrims. Womens aurat are the entire body except for the face and hand.
Men should wear men’s clothes and women should wear women’s clothing and not vice versa! (This is not to confuse those who are looking at us)
Our clothing represents who we are and our personality.
Wear proper clothing. Its Sunnah!
After having gone to the toilet to cleanse ourselves the way our beloved nabi Muhammad (saw) did.
We must clean properly if our clothing touched with Najis until removed the color, taste and smell of Najis or otherwise we need a change of fresh new clothing, (for details refer to kithab Hukum).
Ya ALLAH grant all of us thoufeeq to follow the sunnah of Your beloved Messenger
